First a prologue from the creator of KPB:
I am zeigan. If you wish to know my real name, then it is zeigan (you don’t need to know my real name…ok it’s Rick but that’s all I’m telling you. But please refer to and call me zeigan, it just sounds cooler.) Although I just mentioned my real name in that rather long parenthetical statement, zeigan is also any who help contribute in the progress of this comic while I have done most of the work. Some of whom deserves a bit of that credit is my family and friends, all of whome have contributed ideas and photoshop skills. When I have little or nothing to do with a particular post or page, then that person will vouche full credit with their own name. KillerPopBlues revolves around a small group of close friends intertwined in a "I like her but she likes him and he’s a jerk" type of situation. Drama ensues. Look forward to lots of angst, confusion, and other emotional "rollercoasters" because, well, that’s what being a teen is all about. Isn’t it? I promise it won’t get boring and linear. I’ll even throw in some comedy. Oh and if you haven’t noticed, the general format of the comic is that of a traditional Japanese manga (comic). Why is it done this way? Because I wanted it this way, that’s why!!! Truthfully, this style has inspired and motivated me to reach new skill levels I never thought possible if it weren’t for my love of anime and manga. However, I did chose to have it read left to right and not the other way around as is done with most manga. I did this because, well, this is the USofA and I am an American, not Japanese. My art is influenced by Japan, yes, but I read just the same way as any other English-speaking American. So there. Anywho, please enjoy and with a plan of releasing AT LEAST two pages a week (don’t quote me on that; I do have other paying jobs that require my attention), I’ll try not to dissappoint.
